In July 2008, the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES), in collaboration with the Cardiac Care Network of Ontario, released a Report on Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) Surgery in Ontario, fiscal years 2005/06 and 2006/07. Dr. Tom Rebane
Human physiology has always held a particular fascination for Dr. Tom Rebane, Trillium’s Chief of Cardiology. “I’ve always been intrigued by how the body works and how it copes with the stresses we impose on it,” he says. A cardiologist for the past twenty years, Rebane specializes in treating diseases of the heart and blood vessels that make up the body’s cardiovascular system. Dr. Tarang Sheth is a Cardiac Radiologist and a pioneer in the use of two of the most advanced imaging techniques available today. Cardiac MR (Magnetic Resonance) and CT (Computed Tomography) are both powerful, non-invasive tools that allow physicians to identify cardiac diseases that other imaging methods can’t detect or assess adequately.
